Position: Vice President, Installation, Maintenance and Production [NOC 90010]

Salary: $140,000 per year / full-time

Job responsibilities:

• Installation and commissioning of Company’s Cantos pre-roll makers.
• Management of the overall pre-roll making and packaging process.
• Close supervision of the flower milling and drying process for feeding into the pre-roll makers.
• Using your team and your expertise, ensure makers, packers and other equipment are maintained to a level where they operate optimally and have minimum down time.
• Where required, operate the pre-roll makers and packers.
• Supervise machine operators to ensure makers, packers and other equipment are operating optimally.
• Extensive training of machine operators to ensure they are highly skilled at preparing feed material and at operating the makers, packers and other equipment.
• Assistance in interviewing and hiring new operators.
• Daily, weekly and monthly reporting of production per machine including any challenges faced and overcome.
• Keeping the Chief Operating Officer appraised of all pre-roll making and packaging developments on a regular basis.
• Supervision of operating team’s compliance with inventory management and reporting.
• Rapid installation and commissioning of new Cantos machines.
• Each Cantos machine is producing at least 3,500 packs on average per 8-hour shift.
• The development and retention of highly skilled machine operators.
• Development of training material for new operators for the pre-roll maker operations and maintenance.
• Ensuring scheduled maintenance is undertaken swiftly and effectively.
• Unscheduled machine maintenance is resolved swiftly and effectively by your team.
• Rapid self-education on the hinge lid packers from an installation, maintenance and operations point of view.
• Consistent production reporting to management on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Your operations team is complying with inventory management and reporting standard operating procedures.
• Other duties as may be determined from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• 5 years minimum of experience in highly automated pre-roll producing machines  
• College or vocational training certificate
• People skills and the ability to handle stress
• Ability to remember large amounts of information and handle multiple tasks at once
• Able to work with people of diverse backgrounds
• Team player who can understand the growth potential of our organization
